Bonsoir,

Voilà, pendant plusieurs semaines j'ai cherché à mon domicile (internet via satellite) pourquoi mes photos prises par iPhone n'arrivaient pas dans le flux de photo de iPhoto.
Ce matin j'ai connecté mon MacBook au réseau ADSL filaire de mon boulot et toutes mes photos sont arrivées instantanément.

J'en conclu qu'il y a un soucis entre Nordnet , mon FAI par satellite et iCloud. En effet, les photos restent bloquées quelque part.

J'ai appelé le service technique Nordnet mais ils s'en moquent me disant (certes) que c'est un problème de latence, de ping.

Je pense que ce problème est plus profond car même si il y a une latence, tous mes fichiers reçus par mail ou dropbox ou autre arrivent avec un peu de retard mais arrivent.

Chers amis, que faire? à qui s'adresser ? c'est un problème méconnu qui affecte peu d'internautes mais très pénalisant.

J'en profite pour signaler qu' en revanche tout ce passe bien sur mes iPhones et iPad.(en wifi sans 3G).

Si quelqu'un parmi vous a une entrée chez Apple et/ou Nordnet pour débloquer ce dysfonctionnement ...

Serait-ce un problème de port?
Je n'arrive pas à comprendre pourquoi les photos se téléchargent bien sur l'iPad et pas sur le MacBook dans iPhoto ...
 
J'en profite pour signaler qu' en revanche tout ce passe bien sur mes iPhones et iPad.(en wifi sans 3G).
A partir de chez toi, Ils accèdent à un point d'accès wifi (borne airport, box Nordnet, ...) et ensuite via le satellite?
Parce que si c'est ça, ce n'est pas un pb Nordnet, et ton hypothèse de blocage de ports (par le FAI) tombe...
Comme ça marche à ton boulot, le Mac ne filtre rien non plus...

La réponse de Nordnet quant aux pbs induits par la latence se comprend. C'est connu.
Suivant le protocole utilisé, les acquittements (donc aller-Retour) sont plus ou moins nombreux, et à chaque fois, on prend 500ms dans les dents (au lieu de 20 à 30 ms sur l'ADSL, à débits équivalents)
Certains serveurs coupent la session d'autorité, que ça marche ou pas après un certain temps...
Les opérateurs satellites brident aussi la volumétrie..

Maintenant, si l'iPad et l'iPhone se synchronisent en passant par le satellite, le pb n'est pas là, mais sur le Mac.
On verra alors...

Un collègue m'a conseillé de changer les dns en remplaçant par celles de google 8.8.8.8 mais nada ...

Je suis sûr qu'il y a une combine mais ça ...:(

J'ai un modem Nordnet sur lequel est connecté une borne wifi nordnet box qui diffuse les données dans la maison.

Par ailleurs j'ai fait la mise à jour de l'Apple TV à midi qui offre maintenant la gestion iCloud et flux de photo. Tout c'est déroulé correctement très rapidement. Les photos sur le nuages sont arrivées sans problème dans l'interface de l'Apple TV.

Donc il y a bien un problème au sein du macbook alu .

Oui, mais n'oublions pas que tout s'est bien passé au boulot. Donc, ce n'est pas le paramètrage du Mac (réseau, icloud, syncchro,...) qui est en cause.Au boulot, il était connecté sur le Lan en wifi, ou en ethernet?
Et chez toi, le Mac est connecté en wifi, ou en ethernet?

Parce qu'on peut se poser le question de la qualité de la liaison, chez toi entre le Mac et la Box NordNet .
Si la liaison n'est pas bonne, il y a des retransmissions au niveau protocolaire (sur TCP) avec des tempos de surveillance. Et tout ça est accentué du fait de la latence induite par le satellite.

Ce qu'il faudrait tester (si tu es en wifi), s'est de connecter le Mac en ethernet sur la Box, et de faire un essai pour voir si c'est mieux.

Tu pourrais aussi faire deux tests (en wifi et en ethernet) pour voir la qualité de la liaison à partir de chez toi.
Dans une fenêtre Terminal:
ping -c 10 -s 20 -D forums.macg.co (envoi de 10 pings de 20 caractères vers macg)
ping -c 10 -s 1400 -D forums.macg.co (envoi de 10 pings de 1400 caractères vers macg)
On verra alors s'il y a de la perte.
Et qui dit perte dit retransmissions, dit pbs...
Les pbs sont d'autant plusimportants que les segments TCP sont remplis (en rapport avec la MTU). Ce qui est le cas pour la synchro des photos...
Si c'est le cas, il faudra peut-être baisser la MTU.

Le résultat des pings me laisse songeur.
On voit des timeout au début de chacune des séquences, mais le bilan donne dans les deux cas 0% de paquets perdus...:confused:
On constate aussi que les pings de 20 caractères mettent environ 1sec pour être acquités (Ton mac envoie un message icmp echo, et macg lui renvoie un message icmp response). Tout ça en 1sec (le temps 'aller-retour, c'est la latence). Ça ne me semble pas anormal pour une liaison satelite.

Les pings de 1400 caractères mettent deux secondes. là aussi, c'est long, mais cohérent.
Par contre, cumulé à la perte, c'est peut-être rédhibitoire au niveau des tempos.

Il faudrait essayer de baisser la MTU du Mac (ça n'aura pas d'impact sur les performances du ping), mais sur tout ce qui s'appuie sur le protocole TCP, il y en aura un.
La Mtu définit la taille d'un segment TCP (en octets). Pour faire simple, c'est un découpage.
Le ifconfig que tu as joint montre que la MTU est de 1500 octets sur ton interface wifi (en1).

On pourrait faire un test en la baissant. Par le fait, il y aura un impact sur la latence.
Dans la configuration réseau du Mac:
Menu Pomme--préférences systeme---Réseau--Sélectionner Airport, puis "Avancé"--Onglet ethernet, il faudrait passer la MTU à 500
et faire un essai de synchro.
Si ça ne change rien, remets la à 1500.
Si tu es sous Lion, je crois que c'est l'onglet "Matériel" dans la conf réseau.

Il faudrait aussi refaire un test de pings, mais en augmentant leur nbre:
ping -c 20 -s 20 -D forums.macg.co (envoi de 20 pings de 20 caractères vers macg)
ping -c 20 -s 1400 -D forums.macg.co (envoi de 20 pings de 1400 caractères vers macg)
C'est pour avoir confirmation pour les pertes...

En réalité, il n'y a pas de perte, mais quand il y a des timeout, le réponse au ping arrive hors délai (quant le mac envoie un ping, il arme un temporisateur et attend la réponse).

Ce qui peut expliquer que c'est bon à partir d'un iPad, ou d'un iPone, c'est que les tempos protocolaires sont différentes entre iOS et Mac OSX.
Peut-être que les tempos sont plus longues sur iOS, pour prendre en compe la lenteur sur certains réseaux mobiles.
Enfin, c'est une hypothèse...
Le test en baissant la MTU apportera peut-être la réponse...

Test négatif avec Mtu baissée à 1280 je ne peux la baisser plus. Si je mets 500 par défaut le reglage se met à 1280.

Je suis désespéré il y a un crabe dans la machine :-(

Par défaut, la MTU est de 1500 octets. quand tu envoies , par ex 5000 octets de datas, elles seront envoyées par paquets de 1500 octets.
Dnc 3 paquets de 1500 + un paquet de 500.
Si on baisse la MTU à 500, il faudra 10 paquets pour envoyer 5000 octets.

Dans chaque paquet, il n'y a pas que les datas, mais des octets protocolaires (du genre adresse IP, n° de port, etc...).
Donc, si on baisse la MTU, on augmente le nombre de paquets à transmettre, donc, la volumétrie.
En contrepartie, chaque paquet voyagera plus vite sur le réseau, et les acquittements (des paquets) parviendront plus rapidement. Ce qui peut améliorer les échanges via satellite.
D'autre part, si les liaisons sont de mauvaises qualités (ce qui ne semmble pas être ton cas), en cas de perte, l'extrémité émettrice ne renverra que 500 octets, et pas 1500.
Bref, la taille de la MTU est fct du type de réseau qu'on utilise.

Je suis sous Snow Leopard, et je peux mettre la MTU (mode personnalisé) entre 72 et 9000 octets.
Tu es sous Lion? Peut-être que sous Lion on ne peut pas la baisser autant. Je vais voir s'il n'y a pas moyen.
A moins que quelqu'un sur le forum sache baissr la MTU sous Lion...

Maintenant, pour ton pb, il faudrait pouvoir tracer pour voir ce qui se passe.
Si tu te sens une âme d'aventurier, il faudrait rebooter ton Mac.
Ne rien lancer (ni messagerie, ni skype, ni navigateur,...)
Puis dans une fenêtre Terminal, taper la commande:
sudo tcpdump -c 100 -i en1 (c'est pour tracer 100 lignes sur l'interface wifi (en1)
Tape ton mot de passe.
Ensuite, lance un synchro iPhoto
En principe, ça devrait défiler dans la fenêtre Terminal.
C'est pas garanti, mais on verra peut-être des choses....

Plein de choses, imprimantes, spannig Tree (tu dois avoir un switch), dialogue DNS, etc...
Mais rien de ce que j'attendais, c'est à dire une authentification sur le cloud au lancement d'iPhoto (sur le port 587 ou 443), et un début de synchronisation, avec plusieurs paquets de longueurs importantes (autour de 1500) envoyés en rafale vers ton Mac.
On aurait peut-être alors vu un dysfonctionnement.

Les traces ont été faites juste après le lancement de la synchro?
Pour la synchro, il suffit de lancer iPhoto, ou il faut activer le flux de photos?

Autrement ce qu'il faudrait faire, dans iPhoto, c'est désactiver le flux de photos, puis, dans la fenètre Terminal, taper la commande
sudo tcpdump -c 100 -f -i en0 -n (j'ai rajouté plus d'options pour voir en clair les @IP et le N° de ports)
Puis activer très vite le flux de photos pour qu'on ait une trace qui corresponde au début de la synchro.

Mais bon, là, je te fais bosser, et le résultat n'est pas garanti...:siffle:

Cette trace est mieux.
Je pense que la connexion au cloud et l'authentification se fait entre ta machine (port 54229 et une machine d'apple : 17.172.208.25 port 443(HTTPS))
Sur la trace, cette session est bornée par les deux lignes ci-desous:

Je regarderai plus en détail demain, mais on voit que cette sesion se termine mal (c'est le Flags [R] R pour reset) et que c'est le serveur Apple qui l'envoie.
Ça signifie que la session d'authentification s'est mal passée. Pourquoi, chais pas...
Donc, si l'authentification ne s'est pas faite, la synchro ne se lancera pas...

Autre chose, ça demande confirmation, mais il y a quelque chose qui cloche dans l'horodatage. Certains acquittements sont trop rapides pour du satellite...
Tu n'as que l'interface airport d'activée?
Tu n'a pas un autre équipement pour sortir sur internet?

Les tests de ping étaient cohérents par rapport à un réseau satellite.
Mais là, il y a des trucs qui sont impossibles par satellite, du genre:

On voit ci-dessus que l'acquitement arrive 1/10 ème de seconde après l'envoi de 181 octets par le Mac. Impossible en dessous de 500 ms par satellite...

Un autre truc, c'est l'établissement de session. En gros, elle se fait en trois étapes (Flags S S. .).
Là, on voit que le Mac fait 3 tentatives (a une seconde d'intervalle) avant que le distant réponde (c'est le S.)

Peut être un dernier truc à regarder: la table de routage, et voir par ou on passe.
Lance la synchro, puis dans une fenêtre terminal, tape les commandes:
netstat -r
traceroute 212.95.72.6 (ça ira pas au bout, mais l'importatnt, c'est le début)
