Je viens de voir une news comme quoi les disques durs MyBook World Edition venaient d'avoir une mise à jour de leur firmware avec prise en charge de Time Machine.
Good news !
Mais impossible d'installer le firmware pour ma part, je n'y comprends rien, ils parlent d'utiliser Bonjour mais je ne sais pas du tout ce que c'est, si quelqu'un peu m'aider.
Voici les indications :
To update the firmware: Automated
1. In Windows XP or Vista, launch the WD Discovery Tool and select Configure to open the user interface. Mac users, use Bonjour®.
2. Enter your admin name and password and click the Login button. 3. From the opening screen after you login, click Advanced Mode at the top of the user interface. 4. The screen will open at default System Tab view. 5. Click the Update button. 6. You will see two tabs Automated (default) and Manual. Leave the software in Automated
mode. 7. From the Firmware Upgrade section click the Check for New Firmware button. 8. If new firmware is available, click the Download button that appears and the new firmware
will be automatically downloaded. 9. Once the firmware has been downloaded, click the Upgrade button that appears. This process
will take a few minutes. Once the upgrade process is complete, the system will reboot and return to the opening login user interface screen.

Ouf j'ai finalement réussi, en passant par le terminal, findsmb, puis j'ai copié l'adresse du disque dans firefox précédé de smb://, et le reste a suivi...
Et ça marche pour Time Machine ! J'allais échanger mon Mybook contre une timecapsule, mais en fait je crois que ce ne sera pas nécessaire
