Ce serait un nouveau service ou logiciel pour MacOS 10.3.
Certaines photos ont été enlevé de spymac, il semblerait sur la demande d'Apple.

We got sent in a few screenshots (including a box shot) earlier in the day showing off a new piece of Apple software/hardware called 'Pal'. It is being classed as an Internet service software that is basically the "Mac Desktop" for the Internet. Not like .Mac has been for a storing files, but something completly new. Coining the terms:"Illuminate the Internet.""See the Light" "Green Light to the Internet". The box also mentions it will only work on Mac OS X 10.3 and above.
From the e-mail we have been getting since we broke this story earlier, it seems that a number of people are saying that this is likley to be a Bootable Firewire drive from Apple that also comes with software that fixes problems and lets you boot up from it incase you run into any system problems. Although it doesn't seem to add up with the shots we go as it specifically states that it is internet software.
The box shot reads:
"Green Light...
the Internet...
Forget discs. Forget synching...
Pal takes your desktop and puts...
your fingertips using Mac OS X 10.3...
can take your life on the road...
use your computer and Pal to fix...
problems. So what are you waiting...
see the light."
The box had an 'aqua' look lightbulb logo on it in green. We will try to get some more screenshots and post them up later, various other websites have been sent them but Apple's Legal team has asked for them to be removed (Which means they are likely to be real).
Update: It is looking more and more like this piece of software or hardware from Apple will basically take your desktop/files and put it on to "Pal" (Assuming it is a Firewire drive or more likely an internet service) and you will be able to access your desktop and all of your preferences from any Panther Mac that has "Pal" installed. Nifty, assuming it doesn't turn out to be fake that is.

J'ai cru comprendre que le système PAL permet la connection à son dossier "Home" depuis n'importe quel Mac sous Panther de façon très simple. En tout cas les images font très "Apple".
je trouve que ça ressemble à ce logo, mais bon...

J'y ai pensé aussi, mais je ne vois pas forcément le rapport... Et puis ce serait trop beau.

Mais c'est trop beau quand même... Quoique ? S'il est nécessaire d'avoir un compte .mac pour utiliser Pal, ça va être rentable pour Apple : prix du bidule + prix de l'abonnement .mac = beaucoup brouzoufs qui s'envolent loin de nos poches.
Bref, Pal porte bien son nom, il risque de nous faire mal au c** (je sollicite l'indulgence du jury, il est tard).

c'est vrai que le Newton est un bon copain... mais le rapport avec internet et la lumière

J'en pense que vous manquez encore d'expérience des forum !...
Quand vous êtes dans la fenêtre de saisie de votre post, en bas vous avez un accès au "code UBB" dédié aux url !
Cliquez dessus vous amène à une 1ère fenêtre popup où vous saisissez l'adresse url (copier/coller, puis après votre ok, une 2ème fenêtre apparaît où vous saisissez le nom du site...

Cliquez dessus vous amène à une 1ère fenêtre popup où vous saisissez l'adresse url (copier/coller, puis après votre ok, une 2ème fenêtre apparaît où vous saisissez le nom du site...

Update : As best can be gathered... despite claims that "various other websites have been sent them but Apple's Legal team has asked for them to be removed" -- this appears to be untrue.
The photos did appeared briefly on Spymac.com earlier today, but were removed by the poster, and not at the request of Apple Legal.
La suppression des photos n'aurait pas été demandée par Apple, Pal reste une rumeur. Ce ne serait pas la première fois qu'un site tenterait de faire croire à une intervention du département légal d'Apple pour donner du poids à sa dernière rumeur.
