Pour mettre de l'eau à votre moulin, j'ai reçu aujourd'hui une note de Quark à propos du problème de raccourci clavier:
Using the option Key with F-Keys and the New Keyboard Control Panel (8.5.x)
*************************************************
We have discovered a conflict between QuarkXPress F-key commands that use the Option key, and the new Keyboard control panel (v8.5), that comes
pre-installed with Mac OS 9.0.4, but only on the most recent PowerPC Mac OS computers that ship with the new Apple Pro Keyboard (models to date include:
the Power Macintosh G4 (Multi-Processor), Power Mac G4 Cube, and iMac (Summer 2000) computers. Keyboard control panel version 8.5.2 comes with Mac OS 9.1. This new Keyboard control panel apparently intercepts the Option key, and does not pass the signal on to the QuarkXPress software.
The result is that F-key commands requiring the Option key function as if the Option key were not pressed. For example, pressing F5 is equivalent to choosing Item -> Bring to Front. Pressing Option+F5 should be equivalent to pressing the Option key while choosing Item -> Bring Forward. However, with the Keyboard control panel 8.5x installed, pressing Option+F5 is the same as choosing Item -> Bring to Front.
Apple Computer, Inc. is aware of the problem.
At present, the only workarounds we can offer are to either:
(A) Disable the new Keyboard control panel version 8.5.x (however, this will mean that you cannot change keyboard language maps); or
(B) Remove the Keyboard control panel 8.5.x and install the previous version, 8.4. According to our tests, running the older version on the newer computers with the Apple Pro Keyboard, or any computer with Mac OS 9.1, is safe.
Furthermore, there appears to be a problem in the new Keyboard control panel 8.5.x that could cause a failure in any application when an F-key is used. If you try to use an F-key with this control panel loaded, you will receive the message "The F1 through F15 keys can be set up to open an application. Do you want to open the Keyboard control panel now?" (see the previous section in this tech*note). If you have Mac OS 9 with 'Multiple Users' turned on, and you log on with a profile other than the "Owner" profile, an error will occur when the system tries to display this message. Any application, including the Finder, will unexpectedly quit. In QuarkXPress an alert will display a long error number, such as "System error type 32712."
The only way to avoid this is to have the "Owner" log on, display the essage about setting up the F-keys, and check "Do not show this dialog again."
