Version 5.0 Alpha 3 released 2002-08-27

Improved:

* Updated the DivX Validator to support long file names in Mac OS X. The application will still truncate filenames to 255 characters if it has to, but for practical purposes, filenames are not shortened in any way.
* Improved the handling of improper MPEG-4 bitstreams. Files with MPEG-4 bitstreams that did not precisely follow the standard would sometimes cause QuickTime to crash. The new codec is more tolerant of "bad" bitstreams.

Fixed:

* Fixed a problem where AVI files with large numbers of video frames would crash when validated using the DivX Validator.
* Fixed a problem where the DivX Validator would not allow users to delete validated AVI files after they were processed or viewed. The application now properly releases the files after validation, and they can be deleted normally if necessary.
* Fixed a problem where "green lines" would appear in certain DivX content when played back using QuickTime 6.

Je constate pas bcp de mieux par rapport a VLC niveau qualité image. Par contre il semble que naviguer dans le film se fasse beaucoup mieux.....
