10.14 Mojave Problème de HDD qui mouline.

Je fais appel à ton savoir sur les partitions...

Mon problème: Mon disque interne est en train de lâcher, le finder mouline sans jamais pouvoir afficher le bureau.
mon iMac fin 2013 est équipé d'un disque dur 3 TO avec SSD 121 GO qui sont monté en fusion drive APFS avec comme système Mojave.


Actuellement deux contenair APFS:
le 2 avec Mojave partition principale
Le 3 une petite partition 500 go Catalina faite pour test.

Avec en plus une partition Bootcamp windows.

A priori c'est le HDD qui pose problème, car lors du démarrage le système se charge correctement mais commence à mouliner dès qu'il doit afficher le bureau, et la partition Catalina Monte ou pas (1 fois sur 5).
Windows est très, très long à démarrer mais va au bout.

Je suis actuellement démarré sur un clone de Macintosh HD sur un SSD externe en USB3.

Que me conseillerais-tu ?

Je vois que tu as 2 disques dans ton iMac (SSD 121 Go & HDD 3 To). Avec un Fusion Drive de type apfs solidarisant la partition principale du SSD avec une partition de 2,3 To du HDD. HDD portant 2 partitions autonomes supplémentaires : une apfs qui virtualise un Conteneur de 503 Go avec une distribution Catalina (ça ne doit pas aller vite en mode démarré sur un disque rotatif) & une BOOTCAMP de 197 Go (avec la partition de secours subalterne).

- les ralentissements que tu évoques pointent certainement vers une défaillance en cours du HDD.​

Ton clone dont le volume de démarrage est Mojave iMac --> est-il une image à jour du Conteneur apfs interne du Fusion Drive dont le volume de démarrage (OS Mojave) est Macintosh HD ?

Le clone est a jour, en réalité j'ai installé un mojave tout neuf et j'ai migré les données, donc pas de problème pour perdre les données de macintosh HD et de catalina. par contre si possible de conserver Windows ? sinon ben je m'en remettrais .
 
Tu pourrais toujours repartitionner ton SDD externe > créer une partition apfs de 400 Go => pour y cloner le Conteneur interne de Catalina.

- pour BOOTCAMP : le logiciel Winclone de l'éditeur Twocanoes --> est capable de créer un fichier-clone .winclone imageant le volume BOOTCAMP. À partir duquel tu pourrais ultérieurement recréer le volume BOOTCAMP avec son OS Windows sur un nouveau disque.​
- enfin question matériel : envisages-tu de changer ou faire changer le HDD de 3 To (manifestement en bout de course) ? - ou t'orientes-tu vers l'achat d'un nouvel iMac M1 (dans ce cas : adieu BOOTCAMP et bonjour la virtualisation) ?​
 
Pour catalina j'ai toutes les données importante sur un autre HDD, donc on peut formater.

Je n'envisage pas de changer le HDD dans l'immédiat.
Pour changer le mac par un M1 ce sera pour un peu plus tard.

Pour l'instant je voudrais soit supprimer le conteneur Catalina, même en perdant les 500 Go pour vérifier si le conteneur Macintosh HD fonctionne (vérifier si ce n'est pas la part Catalina qui met le bins!)

soit: si tout le HDD reformaté le fonctionne pas , alors réinstaller Mojave sur le SSD de 121 Go avec minimum et déporter les données sur un disque externe.

dernière solution fonctionner avec mon SSD 1 To en externe comme en ce moment...

Pense-tu cela faisable?
 
Si tu ne l'as pas déjà dans les applications > télécharge le logiciel gratuit : ☞AJA System Test Lite☜. Lance-le > laisse les réglages par défaut > et poste une capture du résultat qui va montrer les débits en lecture / écriture pour ton volume externe Mojave Imac.

Tu as une excellente performance en lecture / écriture avec +400 Mo/s. Tu peux donc largement fonctionner en démarrant ton iMac sur le clone externe de manière régulière.

- et donc te livrer à des manipulations expérimentales sur les disques internes si tu le souhaites > une fois admis que ton disque de démarrage pérenne est le SSD externe.​

Est-ce que tu veux supprimer la partition apfs du HDD interne --> qui virtualise le Conteneur Catalina > et récupérer l'espace libéré au Conteneur interne de Mojave (celui du Fusion Drive) ?

En préambule et en guise de vérification > passe la commande :

Poste le retour. Seule une vérification avec code de sortie = 0 (sans faute) => permet la récupération d'espace d'une partition supprimée.
 
J'avais déjà vérifier les disk 2 et 3 avant de venir demander de l'aide... pas d'erreur.

L'opération s'est effectuée sans problème. Il y a une sur-allocation de blocs touchant le volume de démarrage => mais ça ne peut pas avoir d'impact particulier.

- qu'est-ce que tu veux faire à présent ? --> tester un démarrage sur Macintosh HD pour voir si le fonctionnement est meilleur ?​
 
Tout à fait, je vais tester un démarrage sur macintosh HD et je reviens te dire ça.

Résultat négatif !
La barre se charge au 3/4 très rapidement 5 secondes, puis 10 minutes pour la dernière partie et reste bloquée sans jamais afficher le bureau.

Donc je pense que l'on pourrait refaire le fusion drive, je réinstalle un clone dessus et je teste ! Qu'en penses-tu ?

Si nouvel échec, alors recasser le fusion drive et voir une utilisation SSD et HDD séparé ? Ton avis ?

C'est ce que j'allais te proposer comme prochaine expérimentation : supprimer / recréer le Fusion Drive > puis cloner à rebours.
