Ouh les vilains bugs !!

WARNING: A known Mac OS 9.0.4 and earlier file system bug may cause directory corruption and loss of all data on a partition. The directory corruption occurs under the following conditions:

1. A volume is mounted in Mac OS X 10.0.x that had been initialized with a disk utility running in Mac OS 9.0.4 or earlier.
2. The boot system is switched back to Mac OS 9.x or earlier and the same volume is mounted.

Directory corruption may be seen under Mac OS 9.x. If data loss occurs due to directory corruption, it may be possible to recover the data using the First Aid tool in the Disk Utility application that ships with Mac OS X 10.0.x. It is recommended that you run Disk Utility - First Aid BEFORE you boot back into Mac OS 9.x.

• Computers with built-in memory greater that 128MB may experience long pauses, which may appear to be system hangs, while copying files to or from a SCSI drive. A very good example of this problem may be observed when installing Mac OS X onto a SCSI drive attached to our card. Adaptec and Apple are aware of this issue. These pauses are due to memory optimization in the virtual memory subsystem. Any one pause may be as long as 10 to 30 minutes, depending upon the conditions and the amount of memory installed.
