Le dernier message en date (hier le 22 juillet) sur le forum de Matrox nous promet une annonce, peut-être dans la semaine, sur l'évolution des travaux... Croisons les doigts pour qu'enfin on puisse un peu tester leur pré-version.

While I agree with the fact that our OSX drivers have been tardy in comparison to software manufacturers, I must point out that Pinnacle's promise to deliver OSX drivers is not more solid than our own. Their press release states ( http://www.pinnaclesys.com/aboutus/NewsMessage.asp?id=1361&prodid=108&templ=6 ):
"...CinéWave support for Mac OS X will be available in July 2002 as a free upgrade for all CinéWave customers....".
It's the end of July and Pinnacle customers are also waiting. OSX-wise, they have not delivered anything we haven't. As aforementioned, most hardware manufacturers seem faced with similar hurdles. I am not informed as to the improvements in Jaguar from an engineering stand-point, but if they facilitate hardware driver development, then it should help expedite the process.
You are correct in stating that people would like to see more frequent progress updates, but please understand that we do not try to hold information back. We relay it as it becomes available from engineering.
The Tech Marketing team is currently comiling a new progress report that we will be posting quite shortly (hopefully this week) in the Announcements section of this forum.
