A new fresh english thread

I saw that the old english thread was closed due to flooding
there

Therefore I open a new one to practice wriiten english, hoping it will not be treated the same way.

What puzzle me is why in case of " obvious flooding" , the moderators did not post a warning adressed TO THE FLOODERS and NAMING the FLOODERS in public +warning of SANCTIONS against the FLOODERS instead of locking the thread and penalizing those posting fairly.

Let's practice our english which is the purpose of that kind of thread.

it's a good idea, but if you don't want flood on your thread, please give us an idea of discussion, a subject...

Well, as this thread has no other theme than speaking english, i wish you to get the Robert&Collins for Slang and french Argot. It's a very funny dictionnary, that could learn you about familiar speaking for both languages.

In this book, i learned a very pleasent english expression that, I'm sure, will interest every MacGeneration forum members : Glasgow Kiss.

What's a Glasgow kiss ? It's a kiss for foes, not for friends. It's a very quick and strong movement coming from breast, neck and even belly. The goal is to touch the nose of the other part with your front... with your whole strenght. AIM THE NOSE, NOT THE FRONT, or you'll be hurt as well as your opponent ! If well-given, Glasgow kiss can make your opponent's nose bleeding, or even breaking.

But MacGen forum members use to kind of Glasgow kiss. Red ones and green ones. Red Glasgow kiss hurts too. But green ones are made for friends, not for foes.

thanks for the suggestion, in return may i suggest you have a look at the original topic:

The aim of the previous thread was to improve english , same as the original french thread Améliorons notre français but in english, and it has worked well unitl recently, ther is no point for me to create a ichat room because some people flood on this subject.

Now having said that, there is a christal clear definition of flood boundaries that has been given on this forum :

In any case its pascaformac responsabiliy to define the level of flood in this thread as it's part of the all "bar forum" and therefore should be under same condition as the other thread open here.

well I'm very happy to see that naze (oops sorry ! naas ...) is able to stay calm and express himself with a polite attitude. I thought we were suppose to speak english, anyway... as many people say here I'm just wondering how can we fight flooding if there is no subject given to speak about ? So if all of you could give me a green bullet I would feel better because it's the first red one that I recieve and it hurts so bad !
