A new fresh english thread

I think such a thread can be a pretty good idea, an hope that it can stay clean from flood for a while.
I mean that I appreciate the idea of a thread in English, in order to improve our English.
Still, I also wonder if this thread doesn't need a real topic...? :siffle:

So, I suggest a topic : Your personal practice of English, in France and abroad.
And for instance, you may try and answer to questions such as following:
Would you like to speak about the forums you are used to, or the chats you sometimes have in English? Do you frequently use both English and French in the same conversation, on the Net or anywhere else?
Or did you already use English abroad, in a country where English is the main language... Or in any other countries?

Personally, I sometimes use English on the Net, especially for chats, or sometimes in emails.
I went one time in States, and four times in UK, two countries I love. :love:
But I also find occasions of speaking English elsewhere, like in Central Europa, and especially in Bosnia.

What about you?

(I just suggest an example of a possible topic in this post, nothing more. :zen: )

I never use english because I worked only with french people and I learned english at school thirty years ago:eek: I went two times in States, long beach, long island, but I speak french there:mouais: that misses to me practising correctly.

mistake before mean mon erreur avant, in that case i would suggest you to write, for my past mistake (pour mes erreurs précèdentes)

better use of past ( you are not in the USA right now I presume)

"I spoke french ......which kept me from practicing"

And a better construction

The deap problem with the French people, is that you can write it quite correctly, but you can't speak it clearly.

One question: why do you use the "z" to say the "th"??? If you try "at least" to say "d" it's not that worst.

Example: "the" for "ze" and "de".

Hold, i tried for years and years to lose my french accent, at a stage that people were wondering which country i was coming from, but now today, i have to say that i do not care anymore about my accent, english is spoken by so many nationalities that NOBODY care of your accent, nobody !

Lot's of people are VERY charmed by an accent. Any accent , including french. Especially french.

( a long time ago , nowadays I dont have a french accent anymore , and now I live in France)

Oui, c'est une méthode qui se vaut... mais je maintiens que deux ou trois gouttes de bonne bavouille sur les paumettes ça résoud le problème en deux sec. et ad vitam
