I'm on OS X and asked ppp options to disconnect me after five minutes, but i never get disconnected. Any ideas why?

The option says : Five minutes of inactivity. If there is still some activity on the network it will never disconnect.
Maybe you have a software which produce some activity on the network.
Could you give us more informations about your OS, etc. ?
