tout est dans l'intitulé !
je possède un mac os x version 10.4.11

aprés plusieurs "vérification" et nettoyage avec onyx et techtool pro 4 , mes préferences système plante environ 3 secondes aprés.
bien sûr je n'ai plus le cd pour réinstaller :rose:

Il faudrait déjà regarder les rapports de plantage (/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/mds.crash.log) pour tenter d'identifier la nature du problème.

Spotlight n'arrive pas à mettre à jour son index.
Il faudrait le recréer.

(je ne sais plus quelle est la manip la plus simple pour ça sous Tiger.... sans doute passer par Onyx en récupérant une version compatible avec 10.4)

Ça n'a pas évolué avec le temps : pour reconstruire l'index du volume système, faire :

sudo mdutil -E /

cela demandera le mot de passe du compte en cours d'utilisation, à taper "à l'aveugle".
