Gros disque dur dans G3 B&W

Bonjour a tous,

il me semble avoir vu quelque part que l'iMac DV ne gerait pas les disque dur au dessus de 120Go. Moi j'ai un G3 B&W 450Mhz, dans lequel je voudrais remettre une disque dur. J'ai vu un model de 160Go, mais j'aurai aimer savoir si la chose etait possible.
Des possesseurs de G3 B&W ont ils mit des disques aussi gros ou plus gros que 120Go ???

Check this page to see if you have a rev.1 or a rev.2 motherboard. Look for the "402" chip.

If you have a rev.2, you can fully use any name brand ATA-100 or ATA-133 hard drive up to 120GB. Larger ones will format at 128GB no matter what size they really are. This is a limitation of the built-in controller.
To use a larger drive and have all its space available, you will need a Mac-compatible ATA-133 card (PC ones won't work).

If you have a rev.1, you will likely need an ATA card to use any ATA hard drive other than the original.
