Jack est assez proche de la réalité. Il n'y a plus moyen de désigner la page d'accueil. Chaque utilisateur possède un dossier Sites qui contient un fichier index.html.
Par défaut, ce fichier propose le mode d'emploi. Voici un extrait :
Here's a quick summary of setting up Personal Web Sharing on your computer.
1. Make sure you have a valid network connection, properly configured for intranet use. (Consult your network administrator or other network expert if you need assistance.)
2. Open System Preferences and select the Sharing preference pane. Turn on Web Sharing. Note the address that appears next to "Network Identity" in the pref pane. (Be sure to copy the address exactly as it appears. If you see two addresses, you can use either one.)
3. Add the content you want to share to the Sites folder in your home directory.
4. You can also substitute your own content for the text, graphics, and links in this document to create a customized welcome page. It's named "index.html" and is in your Sites folder.
5. Your new web site's URL is
http://your.machines.doman.name/yourshortusername
Give this address to the people on your intranet. They can connect to your server by loading that address in their web browser.
Bien vous savez quoi ? ça ne marche pas
