J'ai fait ma recherche et je me souviens.
Sur mac, il a parfois des fonctions que je trouve inutiles, d'autres auxquelles je ne comprends rien et qui me bloquent.
Le compte administrateur fait partie de celles-ci. J'ai essayé jadis de bidouiller là-dedans. J'en ai deux actifs (en plus c'est lié à mail que je n'utilise pas). Je ne m'en sers pas, je ne sais pas sur lequel je suis, ni comment changer. Les topos ne m'éclairent pas. Voilà mon blocage. Je n'ai pas du tout envie de m'y replonger.

Déjà en wifi ça fonctionne?
Si tu as 2 comptes sur ta machine, peux-tu essayer de te connecter sur un autre?

Mille fois hélas, je ne maîtrise rien à ce sujet et suis plus que réticent . Tu as touché un point très sensible (il y en a d'autres !).

Mais en wifi, je le répète, ça marche très bien. À mon avis le coup du second compte (en ethernet) ne devrait pas changer grand chose (je m'avance peut-être là mais ça semble logique).

Ce qui est logique est de tester si dans ton environnement rien ne cloche et la seule manière de le faire est de tester avec un nouvel utilisateur. Mais si tu ne veux pas, et si tu as changé de câble le mieux est de rester en wifi.

Je te dirai bien de lancer dans le terminal la commande :
ifconfig
et de donner les résultats.

Ton câble ethernet était branché sur la box lorsque tu as passé la commande?
Si non, branche-le et repasse-là.

Quand tu branches le câble ethernet sur la box, tu vois une loupiote clignoter?
Tu es sûr de ton câble ethernet?
En as-tu un autre pour tester?

Sinon que renvoie dans le terminal un :
sudo ifconfig en0 up

Il faudra entrer ton mot de passe administrateur (qui ne s'affiche pas)
puis à nouveau
ifconfig

Ça clignote dans la box. J'ai testé un 3e câble en vain.
C'est une torture ce mot de passe admin, je ne me souviens bien évidemment pas de celui-ci.
J'ai cherché sans trouver dans les préf. mdpasse de safari.

Nous revoilà au même point (de ma totale incompréhension de ces termes).
J'ai un mdpasse pour accéder au mac, qui est le même qui m'est demandé pour installer un soft par exemple.
Et puis c'est tout. Mais c'est pas celui-là dont tu parles ?

Toujours pas. Très très bas débit pour chrome, rien avec safari.
Le port ethernet de la box peut-il être endommagé ? ou celui de l'imac ?

Oui je peux. Usuellement c'est le jaune qui est actif. Puis il y en a 4 consécutifs dont un pris. Et bien ÇA MARCHE !!!
Saleté de port ! Comment est-ce possible ?
Tout fonctionne comme aux grands jours. Ouf !
