Mail a quitté inopinément ...

Bonsoir,

J'ai un gros soucis avec l'application Mail :
Elle s'ouvre, mais avant d'avoir le temps de relever le courrier de mes boîtes (free + yahoo), elle se ferme et me donne le message "L'application Mail a quitté inopinément".

1. Premier réflexe, je redémarre le Mac et retente : même message.
2. Je clique sur "Relancer", idem.

Je vais sur MacGé et fais une recherche sur le forum :

3. Je fais un test ATH qui me dit que tout va bien. Bon, je redémarre, relance Mail qui plante encore.
4. Je lance une réparation des autorisations, rien n'y fait !
5. Je dégage le plist des préférences, lance Mail et reconfigure un compte : la connexion au serveur fonctionne, mais Mail quitte de nouveau.
6. Je télécharge "Pacifist" et résintalle Mail depuis mon CD d'origine en remplacant l'ancien Mail : même résultat !

Je ne sais plus quoi faire (cela fait à peine 1 mois que j'ai switché et c'est le premier pataquès qui m'arrive). Pouvez-vous m'aider SVP ? Merci

As-tu fait la mise à jour 10.5.2 ? Je dis ça parce que l'on est quelques uns à avoir eu des problèmes sur certaines applications depuis.

Tu peux nous copier le rapport de bug, ça pourrait aider quelques éminents frères des forums très versés dans la technique (ce que je ne suis pas).

Sans doute inutile d'avoir réinstallé mail
( voire empirant le souci)

faire ce test simple
sur une autre session 2
(session 1 fermée)
créer et tester une adresse email dans Mail session2



Note du modo : Mail, comme pour tout logiciel "Internet", c'est dans "Internet et réseau qu'on en parle. On y va !

J'ai recréé un compte et configuré Mail :

D'abord un compte qui n'était pas dans mon Mail : aucun soucis
Puis celui de Free : aucun soucis
Puis celui de Yahoo : aucun soucis

Donc pas de problème, les comptes sont relevés et l'application ne plante pas.

Que dois-je faire maintenant ? Remplacer le plist des préférences de ma session par celui-là qui fonctionne ? Comment faire pour ne pas perdre mes emails archivés ?

tu vois
1- Mail marche
2-c'était inutile de réinstaller ( 90% des cas)
3- le probleme est " quelque part sur ta session"
et uniquement là ( 90% des cas)

Maintenant la cause peut etre double
-Mail
( fichiers corrompus , ou même un message qui fout la zone , ou boite de reception trop pleine etc etc)
ou
interaction Mail + " quelque chose d'autre" ( plug , appli , réglages session etc etc)

ma suggestion

mail fermé
Déplacer ton Dossier Mail
ET plists Mail ET les Caches Mail

reconfigurer les comptes
tes comptes ( comme au premier jour)

tester
si test ok
importation des archives ( via l'outil interne, pas en mode geek de manips des fichiers)

ceci n'est pas un tuto mais un simple rappel rapide de divers choses faisables
pour plus d'infos faire une recherche

* Avoir son OS à jour

*réparation des autorisations via utilitaire disque ou autre outil (genre Onyx) : maintenance à faire à chaque mise à jour Apple ( ou install d'une application avec installateur)

*réparation verificaton du volume
( via utiltaire disque du support)

*verification du fonctionnement de l'appli à probleme sur un autre compte- autre session 2
( session 1 fermée)
Au besoin créer une session test et la garder car ca reservira toujours

*nettoyage-maintenance : voir l'outil Onyx qui fait ca très bien
lire l'aide avant de cocher des options

* téléchargement de la combo update de l'OS

celle correspondant à l' OS et au type de processeur (PPC ou macintel) regroupe toutes les mises à jour, permet de consolider l'OS et de corriger une erreur éventuelle non corrigée par une mise à jour précédente ou apparue depuis
il n'y a pas encore de combo Leopard , mais ca viendra

*nettoyage-réparation liés à une application spécifique:
application fermée déplacer les fichiers plist de l'appli dans la biblotheque de l'utilisateur et les caches de l'appli dans la session,
relancer
selon les applications il faudra préserver certains fichiers liés avant de changer les plists sinon risque d'effacement d'archives ou données

toutes ces manips sont complémentaires et détaillées en archives et au cas par cas selon l'application

je relance ce sujet parce que mon problème est comparable.

Tout d'abord je débute sur Mac, merci de votre patience.
1er bug en 6 mois...

Bref, Mail ne fonctionne plus
- depuis une restauration de Leopard avec Time Machine.
- depuis que j'ai créé des BAL pour classer automatiquement mes messages avec des "Regles"
il mouline pour relever les messages et je dois "Forcer à quitter"

Donc en désespoir de cause, je voudrai le réinstaller, donc...recherche et ....

Sinon j'ai suivi ton conseil....j'ai créé un autre compte "Test"...Je suis émerveillée de la simplicité pour créer les comptes mails avec Léopard... un vrai bonheur après tant d'années de galère sous Windows.

Je télécharge mais comme quoi les fonction recherche ne sont pas toujours top.
J'ai tapé mail.update sur le site apple et rien est sorti.:mouais:
ensuite sur macgeneration. Et en remontant les différents post ok, j'ai trouvé le lien.
Mais bon problème mail comme sujet n'est pas aussi précis que "l'application mail a quitté inopinément"
Sinon, je te rejoins. fonction recherche mais trop de post viennent polluer la solution.
Bon l'installation est faite je relance mail et même message.

combo update réparation des autorisations , changer la plist, test autre session etc )

je veux bien changer de post mais je ne suis pas administrateur du forum.
Je peux recréer un post pour ce problème.
Bon je suis reparti dans une bidouille windowsienne.

réinstallation de mail.update
réparation des autorisations avec l'utilitaire de disque.
création d'une session test et lancement de mail.
paramétrage d'un de mes comptes de messagerie dans mail. (cool tout se fait facilement)
attente de téléchargement de mes messages. mail fonctionne sur ma session test.

Maintenant, je vais essayer de comprendre ses histoires de plist et de dépalcement de dossiers mail car il y a plusieurs méthodes.
