CANON EOS 5D VS CANON EOS 5D II
For those still shooting with classic 5D, a fine camera even today, but curious about the 5D Mark II, Ive been reading a couple of nice comparitive reviews of the 2 cameras, both focused less on lab tests and more on real world results.
The first is courtesy of the barefoot-memories blog where photographer Carey Schumacher has a series of posts comparing the 5D to the new 5D Mark II.

Next up the Virtual Traveller goes into some detail on the advantages (and disadvantages) of the 5D Mark II over the 5D.

On a side note, the weather is really not cooperating for shooting since I got the 5D2, every weekend has been frigid with precipitation. I did go out and play with the AF this afternoon, focused on some more dynamic stuff, and for the most part it performed quite well. The weakness is clearly low-light. A dark room and low contrast will equal some focus hunting, at least with the 50mm f/1.4, and yes it can be annoying, But, this has to be a very dark room, definitely not a deal breaker by any means.
